Meet the Pastor
After graduating from Montemorelos University in 1988, Pastor Walter R. Mancía started his ministry as an intern in Grants Pass, Oregon in 1991. In 1995 he went to Andrews University where he graduated with a Masters in Divinity in 1998. He returned to the Rogue Valley as Pastor of the North Valley / Rogue River District. After four years of service in Southern Oregon, he transferred to Washougal, Washington in 2001 where he pastored the Riverside/Stevenson District until May of 2008.
Currently he is the senior pastor of the Medford/Ashland District, which consists of the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church in Medford, Oregon and the Ashland Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ashland, Oregon. He is married to Laura and they have two children. Michael is eight years old and Laurissa is five years old. They live in Central Point, Oregon.
